About the Recipe

This creamy mashed potato recipe is the perfect side dish for any meal. Enjoy!

Ingredients

5 LB bag gold or butter potatoes

1 stick unsalted butter

1 package cream cheese

1 cup milk

1/2 tsp salt (add more for table)

1/2 tsp pepper

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Preparation

  1. Peel potatoes, cut into halves & quarters

  2. Fill stock pot w/ potatoes & enough water to cover, add salt to water

  3. Bring to boil

  4. Reduce heat to mid boil 25 minutes or so- enough for fork to go through potatoes

  5. Drain potatoes & let sit while adding butter to mixer. Add potatoes

  6. Mix potatoes, butter, milk

  7. Add cream cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder

  8. Mix until creamy- Do not overmix!
